Igor Gudzalov
Born to a musical family, playing a variety of instruments from an early age, Igor was soon experimenting with both Classical and Jazz genres.
Whilst studying at the acclaimed "St. Cyril and Methodius University" in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia, he won several awards for piano performances and in 'composing competitions' in the region; including a first place in the piano competition held in Novi Sad, Serbia.
After graduating in 2001, Igor toured Eastern Europe playing at the regions best Jazz and Summer festivals. In 2002, he moved to London where he became the House Pianist at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), where he played at many functions, exhibitions and award events.
In 2003, Igor joined the Grosvenor House Hotel as the Resident Pianist, and has played for several prestigious events. An extensive repertoire of classical pieces and jazz standards from the 'Great American Songbook', is combined with songs from hit musicals and even modern pop classics.
Whether playing Chopin or Sinatra, as a consumate performer, Igor's enthusiasm "to play the music people would like to hear" is very well appreciated by our guests at the Park Room and Library.
